Pro Purple Insight

Hey,

Threw a few games last night w/ my buddy Joey Bag-o-donuts!  Went to our mixed league house which is usually pretty damn wet, but it had broken down a bit, but still a little sloppy.........hadn't had much opportunity using my Pro Purple so I brought it along.

Started with my Fuel (use this ball there ALL the time) and got warmed up. Nice read, and was the right ball....but,.....

I pulled out the PP and moved about 3 boards right and 2 on the lane.

It was a urethane on steroids !!  Never jumped, but I knew she wasn't going to give up either.....does that make sense.  You could see it working ! The nice thing was, it recovered really nicely if I pushed it wide, but never 'jerked', just as smooth as glass.

Getting this ball on trade was a great idea...I can definately see me using this ball for control on medium or so lanes, on sport shots, or just to straighten me out when I get squirrely!

It also makes me realize how much I like smooth equipment! I've noticed that lately, and last evenings session just solidified it!  No more big snap stuff for me, ...not that I had a ton of it before, but I'm going away from that stuff all together.  I can still have a longer ball that doesn't JERK out of the dry....

If the PP's reaction is the epitome of the Lane1 roll characteristic.....to quote from Terminator " IIIIIIIIIIIII LIKE IT !! "

Urethane on steriods

Sounds like the purple ice to me.
I have a propurple myself.  Loved it so much, I have a NIB on sitting in the closet.  I got one more experiment that I am doing with my otherone with coverstock preparation, then I am going to drill up the NIB.

I just picked up a second one, used.   It is drilled 5.5 x 5.5.  I thought that it would be mellow.  It sure is mellow.  It flares maybe an inch.  I shined it up to 1500 polish.  So that it even resembles a pearl. I have used it two times in the past week.  I have to really straighten up to use it, but it is so smooth and controllable.  No big bounce of the dry.  I never thought it would work.  But, thusfar I am pleasently surprised.  FYI, it is about 10 boards weaker than my gold nugget.
