My opinion is, if you don't know (that is, if you don't already have some experience with one), then it isn't. $70 is a lot for a used ball, Lane#1 or not.
It was a good ball. I liked mine, but I'm not sure where it would fit today. Possibly a medium oil polished solid. It had a fairly strong core for Lane#1, back then.
If you liked other Lane#1 balls with that exact core, you should like this one, but that's no guarantee.

Lane #1 has some very devout followers and the Black Cherry Bomb is one of the most prized of their older balls. $70 for a single drill -- plus shipping -- is around the going rate. Sometimes these go for much higher on eBay.
This ball has a very high differential (.071) which is a lot higher than what's allowed under today's USBC standards. (It's grandfathered in, so it's not a problem using the ball today.) This gives the ball tremendous flare potential.
In it's heyday this was a heavy oil ball, and today it works great on medium to heavy conditions.
Don't be surprised if the trolls come out and start bashing Lane #1 people in this thread!
