« on: March 28, 2005, 12:13:02 PM »
i am a left handed bowler speed is 19 to 21 mph. i stand around middle dot and throw down 5 with my raging inferno. the problem i have is when the lanes are oiled long i have a hard time making the ball face the pocket and when it does hit it leaves alot of corner pins. what lane 1 ball would you suggest. i am interested in the cherry bomb or the super carbide.

gcraise, with the speed you have, I'd go with the Super Bomb or the Solid Uranium. =:^D

I will second that recomendation, and also add that if it was the pear cherry bomb your were considering that is not a good choice for long oil, plus they are totally unavailable.  The Black cherry you can still get those but you would have to drill it fairly strong and maybe play with the surface a little, same thing goes for the Hybrid.  Like T-god said with your speed the SCB or Solid U couldn't hurt.  However long oil doesn't always mean heavy oil so therefore either the black or the Hybrid might be a better choice.

The Solid U or the Hybrid.  If you are looking at the Super Carbide, you might want to wait to see if they make any changes to the current one; there are non available anymore, which leads onne to believe that they may be stirring the creative juices.

All the above balls are great, even the DB or GN will work too.
BUT..... you should try moving 12 boards or so to the right and throw the same spot.
Also slowing it down a little when its's wet won't hurt you either.

You should take the line the alleys give you, not try to force the line you want to play.
