I just pulled the Pro Teal off my rack and fixed the finger inserts and changed the thumb slug. What surface did this ball have on it originally and what lane condition was this ball intended for?

I did the same thing with the Emerald but I found some literature on that ball. I put it up a while ago because I couldn't carry a 10 pin with it.

Nicanor, I have a new teal & it is smooth & polished. I assumed it would be for a medium, maybe even a medium light condition. The link here will show that it came sanded for heavy oil. Considering when that ball came out, I doubt very much if it would be an oil ball by todays standards.

Thank you Sawuser.

I did read that on Bowlingballreviews. I agree that a bowling ball that old would not be considered an oiler in today's game. I hope that either some rubbing compound or a light coat of polish might make this a tame ball that rolls up to the pocket rather then all the very angular equipment I am throwing now.

It should be fairly tame with polish on a medium shot. Let me know how you like it. Mine is just sitting here all proud displayed by my computer!
