uranium

Well I picked up a Uranium today from Lane #1. It is a 15# 2-3 pin with 3.50 top weight. It is drilled with the pin under ring finger and cg kicked out with a weight hole. I didn't know what to expect when I brought it to league tonight. I started out with the front 7 then tugged the 8th and off the sheet for 279. The shot broke down quickly and found myself standing in the left gutter and throwing over 20 out to 5 and it was coming up high. So away it went back to the bag. After all was said and down 4 guys that were bowling around me said they were going to buy it this week. Boy oh boy does this ball ever skid/snap hard. Great ball

Irish,

I will echo your comments.  I tried to use it in league last night, and the same for me, it was very strong. So strong, that I am going to have to get used to the violent snap that it has.  I counted 4 shots last night, that I was sure at the arrows, but ended up a couple smash 8-10(lefty), and blower 10's. It has an enormous amount of back end.  I will look into another one drilled 6x4, to calm it down some.  I do not want to touch the surface yet.

Snakes, I have an Uranium in transit now. Should have by next Tuesday. I'm not sure how it is drilled, but is supposed to be drilled some type of label drilling with I think, the Pin beside ring finger and CG kicked out from Grip line probable 1/4"-1/2". Based on your knowledge and experience, is this ball going to snap too?

When I picked up my ball from Lane #1 they said I was going to love it. They were right.I will be trying it again tonight and thursday night. It was funny watching everyone with thier mouths wide open and tongues hanging out like they saw a naked female for the first time. I can't wait to see it when I get use to it.

It is most definately a pearl.

Brick,

I would not expect your drilling to be as violent as mine is.  Mine is more label leverage, and yours sounds more like 4x3.  I would think that your ranium will not be as skip snap as mine is.

I have had mine for about a week now. Mine is drilled label (lefty). This ball does not have the big break on the end. It DOES have an awesome very smooth arc. (unless the lane is totally toasted).

i must agree with the majority of other users. the uranium has the most back end of anything that i have ever thrown..mine is drilled label lev just like on the sheet with no balance hole.ball is very clean down the lane.i am amazed as to how far it goes down b4 it makes its move, then when it moves its amazing.actually, i am sort of struggling with it a bit as i have yet to get used to the amount of backend.i ahve left lots of 9 pins, more than i ever have with a new ball.first night out, ,left 4 in one game.the ball seems to create almost to big an angle as it seems to be slicing in more behind the head pin than flush in the pocket.i am sure that after some adjusting , this will be my number one ball. my stats are as follows:  right handed approx 19.5 mph with a above ave rev rate( i guess you would call that a tweener). the other lane one balls i currently own are the BCB,CB,SD,EP,PC,XXXL.thanx for reading this prob overwinded post.
