Required help on layout
« on: December 12, 2008, 10:43:46 AM »
I am very interested in getting the AO...look interesting but need some help in the drilling layout. I am a high speed with medium rev. Like to play down the lane, although can swing it but not consistant with this type of shot.
Looking at the drill sheet, two layouts interest me, the stacked drill and the cg out drill.
Can any Lane#1 bowlers explain the differences between this 2 drills and which is more suitable for me ? Thanks !

A stacked layout will give youa sharper break down the lane, whereas the CG out will be earlier and smoother. Go with a higher pin with finger and side weight. This will keep you straigher with good backend. =:^D

Here is my AO.  PIN is 2 1/4" above fingers.  I must admit this ball is allot stronger then I thought it would be and really needs heavy oil.  If I polished it up it would most likely get more use, but I threw a 300 with it already and call me goofy but I don't want to mess with it.  LOL

I've had good luck with my original BuzzBomb and BuzzBomb/R drilled 5x3.

Why would you want to waste a ball drilling it over the label..  LOL

my AO is stacked as well, pin in the ring cg on grip center, ball is a monster, hit it with a 4k abralon pad and its money on anything north of a true med shot, little polish and i bet i could play the lesser side of mediums as well

I literally can throw it all three games on my heavy mediumish 40 ft house shot
