Uranium (track)
« on: February 28, 2004, 08:08:15 AM »
Alright i only have about 20 games on my Uranium, but it seems to have an excessively high amount of track marks on it. Since this is my first Lane#1 ball, so i dont know if lane 1 shows track marks alot quicker, because i know with my storm balls i could throw about 40 games before getting track marks.

Is this normal for lane 1 balls to be tracking early?

Sorry if this sounds like a funny post, but uranium was my first buzzsaw and i love it.

No problems with mine. The more I bowl with it, the better it seems to work. Maybe it doesn't track up as fast as some of you since I have low revs.

The PK18 coverstock  on the blueberry also had similar problems in some batches.

Then again, I think you probably have to go back to the tire analogy for this one. Think of a pair of super sticky Hoosiers vs. your average every day radial. The hoosiers are going to bite harder & perform better, but wear faster.

Because the ball is a satin finish pearl, you will notice the track very quickly.

My V2 Particle will track after one game, almost after 1 frame.

The "track" is simply the polishing effect the lane has on the cover stock. If the ball was highley polished, the "track" would still be thier but much harder to see.

Dull balls track quicker, though they are usually darker soild colors which makes the "track" harder to see.
