Tsunami
« on: February 02, 2006, 03:34:51 AM »
Picked up a Tsunami today.  My local pro had one drilled up and absolutely hated it...said he didn't want to plug it and it was pretty close to my span, so he gave it to me.  Pin is directly under and between the fingers and the MB is out near my VAL.  I threw the ball today on the US open shot..  It is incredibly smooth reacting.  I had a little bit of area with the ball.. I could play deep inside line to the dry (25 - 15), a little swing into the oil (like 17 - 13) or move outside and play straight up 5 with slow speed (was REALLY touchy though)...  I'm really starting to like this ball.  Anything that was a light mixer or flush seemed to carry...  A touch high and it was 4 pin, 9 pin, or both.  Overall, it seems to be a really forgiving ball.  I'm excited to throw it on the regular house shot... Once I am able to get some games on it, I'll post aa full review...

Well I'll predict that you will LOVE this ball on a house shot.  You are right, it is a very forgiving ball and very smooth reacting.  If I can find an excuse to pull this ball out in leagues, believe me I will.  This has been my best ball EVER!  Looking forward to your review to see how you like it.

if you like the way it is drilled ... you should plug and the thumbs and redrill it ... eventho it fits ok as it is ... it might hurt you in the long run that it has different span than the others

Yes.  The thumb is going to need a small adjustment...  probably adjust the pitches and shorten the span a touch.  This ball has his version of vaccu-grips in it.  Finger holes are 1/16" larger and grips are glued on the bottom only.  They feel really great...  I'll probably plug up the thumb tomorrow morning and have it redrilled for leagues next week...
