H2O MINI REVIEW.
« on: April 30, 2005, 01:33:25 AM »
PLAYER PROFILE
PAP 3 1/8 over 1/4 up
tilt 14 degrees
rotation 10,45 and 80
ave Rev rate 420 rpm
speed 15-22 mph

Anthony from Lane#1 was kind enough to send the H2O over for early testing.
I layed this ball out with 3 1/2"PAD X 5 1/2MBD X 2 1/4AML with a small X-hole on axis. I tested this ball on two different patterns, a broken down house shot and a fresh oil house shot. On the broken down pattern playing the fifth and sixth arrow the H2O was super clean the through the heads in the box condition. With the H2O new Offset nugget the H2O revved up and transitioned hard at the break. I was comparing this ball my Blazing Inferno with same drill and the H2O was Cleaner and stronger.
On the fresh oil house shot the H2O box condition had too much over/under so I hit it with a 1000 Abralon pad. The H2O was PERFECT after the surface changed I was able to play up 10 with a smooth transition down the lane that really help out the carry from that angle.
The H2O is perfect for straight player and power players due to the low differential and the medium RG. power players don't be afraid to use 3.5-4" layouts on this, also drillers the MB is strong enough to use in laying the H2O out instead of the CG.
The H2O is perfect for medium to drier house shot and could be great for sport condition due to the low DIFF and strong pearl cover. The H2O features Lane#1 first offset core and a reactive pearl cover.

If you have any questions, please PM me on this site.

Thanks
Lonce

Additional Info. I got a chance to get out of the shop early today. I went down to Roosevelt lanes in Jersey City , NJ. Every saturday they have doubles pot games. and well the H2O flowed like water, too bad I caught some BUMS for partners and only won two games the 1st Five games I go 279, 268, 248, 280 and 253. Everyone was so impress this ball that i have 5 preorders for them. Most ball do not impress because most have the same overall motion but this is very different. Player out their save you money for this one, I will be drilling another one very soon with a different surface and layout.

But Lonce, you left out where the final center of gravity was located.

How am I supposed to know how this ball will work without knowing the final CG location in reference to the center of grip????????
--------------------
Pin to axis? why would I need to know that when I know where my center of gravity is?

He'll let you know in 2008.

Great review, Lonce
