Title: So what makes Lane#1 balls good on oil?
Post by: kingpin268 on February 14, 2006, 11:10:56 AM: I've heard a lot of compliments about the Lane1 balls on oil handling capacity from respected members here. Is it their cores or are you guys just referring to the Super Carbide Bomb and the Solid Uranium?

I don't bowl with lane 1, but i know their gear is quite good compared to alot of the junk out there atm.

I think the genreal nature of the diamond core (or its derivatives) makes for a heavy and even rolling type of reaction. Couple that with strong brunswick covers and for most people its a pretty good match for heavy oil. If you are looking for a skid/flip reaction, probably not going to get it with Lane#1 (although they have been attempting it by adding various flip blocks and cover tweaks) and the new cobalt sounds as if it will give a different overall look....
