Label drill

Is it true that Label drill is more suitable for high trackers as mentioned on the G-force drill sheet ? If it's true than I might just drill my next labelled...Any comments ?

I know allot of people love the label drillings, I for one HATE label drillings...  And yes, I'm a high tracker..

What is a "high tracker"?

On my balls the track runs 0.75-1 inche left of finger and thumb (thumb:0.5 and sometimes even over thumb) - am I a high tracker?

So for me the label drill I have on my XXXL gives very good lenght with a good movement

On my Tsunami (I call it semi-label:http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/59/5585759/400_6431336631666164.jpg ) the ball has good lenght, medium midlane read with a almost violent strong reaction of the dry... the ball is very good for me on the outside shot on the med-oil but still "hookable" and playable on drier lanes (Med-dry) on the real dry the ball is just too strong.

I once had a "flip block cored" ball and that was a backend monsters... skidded almost throughout the whole lane and of the dry like a screaming boomerang.

Here Label is the mos used drilling (needs no X-hole) but imho if you want to get really into the stuff take a look here:

Same here...I too track high and label drills are a no-no for me as well.

I bought a used HRG that was drilled label just thinking that maybe somehow it would roll different, nope...notta...no way

It (label drill) seems like it reads the mids well, then from then on I'm not sure what ut will do, lol

To weak get deep, to strong to square up...What the hell is the drilling good for ?

Alot depends on the weight block as well.

Drilling a BOMB core label is asking for problems, seen that happen a few times around here. CG out or stacked works best with BOMB type cores.

Anything with a mass bias (like the G force) drilling label, you will "most likley" get a hook/set reaction.

As GTX said, it will vary from user to user.

Just to save you problems from a plug and redrill, forget label and do a pin next ring, CG/MB stacked type of drilling.

I just never get the reaction I want, and seems to hit weaker then other drillings..

not really the strongest layout.  usually label 1:30 gives 8 flare and 9 backend

stacked (on some balls) is 7 flare and 8 backend.

this is an overall ball reaction.  8&9 is longer skid with nice arc, 7&8 is less skid with stronger arc than 8&9

I play swing shots most of the time, even arc doesn't really suite my style

it all comes down to which layouts that work well with your style .. the drilling sheet is just general guideline

For me the label drill just does not work on the lane 1 balls have had four lane1s drilled up label two HDBs, a XXL,and a Black Rasberry and I know these are totally different balls from the G-Force but the two HDBs for me would not move more than one or two boards and that was on dry lanes now the other two was a whole different story they were really agressive
