Title: Solid U results/ Rough Buff success!

WELLLLLLLLLLL. I had my driller take my Solid U to 220, then Rough and Buff, and it's UNREAL. I didn't think it could get better, but it did.

Also, shot 275 with it right after that too! 5 bagger, 9/ (10 pin) , strung the rest till the fill ball in the 10th- then THE BIG 4! Grabbed it and through the nose it went!

Oh well, my two highest games 279 and 275 are with this beat up, 5X plugged sweetheart! Can't wait to buy a new one someday and go with a different drilling for a different look.

Man that really does sound like a great idea.  I have the most success with even-arcing equipment.  Polished solids seem to be the best matchup for me in my area.  Pearl equipment is usually too squirty for me.

I have been searching (somewhat unsuccessfully) for an even-reacting shiny/pearl ball that will cover more boards than a dull ball, but not get too crazy on the backend.  Your idea sounds like it just might work for what I want.

I have 2 undrilled SUs, so maybe one of them will get the 220+ Rough Buff once I finally decide to drill them.

Try that on one of your's, then send me the other

It really makes this ball come to life with this surface now. It was already a great ball, now it's even better. I'd love to punch another one up with a different drilling someday.
