« on: April 20, 2005, 01:05:11 PM »
first i want to thank all of you that has helped me figure out what brand of ball i need to purchase. with that said can you narrow it down between the solid uranium or super carbide. i again am left handed, ball speed 19-21 mph. stand on middle dot and throw down 5 board. i want this ball for heavy oil. and also should i get pin in or pin out? and if so should it be a 1 to 2 pin?

All will depend on the lane conditions. If the lanes are totally
flooded the Super Carbide is most suitable. If the lanes are medium to heavy, the Uranium Solid will do. At my place here, I never encounter totally
flooded lanes. Therefore, I only use the the Uranium Solid for this condition. From my experience, a 2 to 3 inch pin Uranium Solid will be nice. It was drilled 3 3/8 inch, pin to PAP previously, with pin next to ring ringer. This will give a very strong reaction on oily lanes. That previous drilling has proven to be too strong for me. The drilling pattern has been changed to 4 x 3, with pin below ring finger.
