tsunami to me is a much stronger ball, the tsu even being solid can be quite snappy at times.  mine is drilled semi pin axis (IE pin above my pap, cg next to pap, mb towards thumb)  I can play this ball deeep or up the boards, but it is strong, the teal on the otherhand is buttery smooth even with a strong drilling on it, it is impressive on house shots to say the least, hit with the saucde and it looks good and reacts even better off the dry.  I could carry both and use them at times, I dont feel the teal can get as deep as my tsu but proably could if i torqued it up another notch

in order of strength   teal is below the tsu in my book

Thanks. I'm trying to figure out what my next move is going to be when the time comes to retire my Tsunami, which is at worst one of the four best balls I've ever owned (Storm X-Factor, Storm Thunder, AMF XS).

The THS is a bit earlier and smoother than the Tsunami.

My Tsunami, THS and BuzzBomb are my current league arsenal. I just don't have enough games on the BuzzBomb/R to put it into my bag.

Doug,

How does the Tsunami compare to the Supernova XP and, as best you can tell so far, the Buzzbomb/R?

Well the balls are all drilled significantly different but I'll try to compare them as best as I can.

My SuperNova XP was drilled pin under ring with the cg swung out. This ball gave me a long, smooth & even hook. The backend was strong but not angular.

My original Tsunami was drilled 4x4 stacked. This ball gave me a great look on the typical house pattern. It revved strong in the middle but the core design kept the ball from flipping over hard on the backend.

My current Tsunami is drilled with the pin 2" off my PAP and the mass bias under the thumb. This ball gives me a similar read to the XP but is less twitchy as the lanes start to break down.

My BuzzBomb/R is drilled pretty close to a 4x4 stacked set up. I did add an application of ZappIt Distance to the ball as it was reading VERY early for a pearl. Our old wood tends to make the ball do this so I wanted to try the Distance and it works!!! Anyway....the ball is VERY strong BUT is also VERY forgiving....if that makes sense. The ball revs earlier than the XP, Nebula, Evolution, Tsunami or Hybrid. The BB/R is far every bit as angular as my Evolution but with the hook potential of the SuperNova XP. The BB/R is very close to the original Pearl Cherry Bomb but is a little stronger roll in the midlane.

I hope I shed some light on this for you....got more q's??? Lemme know!!!!

AK...since my XP and BB/R were drilled so differently and used on distinctly different oil patterns (damn the lane man deciding to change things!!!) I can't say just exactly how close they are.

They both rev up hard in the midlane and react strongly on the backend. However, the BB/R seems to turn the corner much harder and with more authority than my XP did. As I said a big factor in that is going to be the drill pattern but the core design dictates this as well.

I regret selling my XP (who did I sell it to on here anyway???) but I think the BB/R is going to be a great addition to my bag.
