Super Carbide Bomb
« on: February 21, 2005, 06:27:45 AM »
I've been thinking of buying a Lane1 bowl for some time now and was wondering if the Super Carbide Bomb would react well in a sport condition(or heavy oil outside dry inside.)I want a heavy hooking ball and I've been told that this is defiantly one of those balls.I'm a stroker who usually throws up and in(around 5) with 15-18mph and medium revs.I want a ball that would outhook my Storm Fear Factor and my MoRich Labyrinth

bmac, sounds like we have a similar style...i have the scb and that ball has saved me in the floods i'm currently shooting.

i haven't shot a sport condition with it...i suspect if i had to, i'd be inside 17 to 13 or so.  i have a leverage drill with the weight hole near the cg.

it will definitely out hook your other balls...

Okay, thanks.Would the SCB be the best match for me or is there another Lane1 ball that would be better suited and would hook about the same?

the scb is the biggest hooking lane 1 ball...doesn't mean any of the others won't match your game.

It's a heavy hooking ball - but may not be your answer on a sport condition.
If you look at a recent issue of bowling this month, you'll notice that the balls that get the highest rating on sport conditions aren't necessarily the heaviest hookers.
