Super Carbide Bomb
« on: June 04, 2005, 09:05:05 AM »
What should I expect to pay for this ball through my local pro shop (including drilling and grips). He already has my measurements from two recent drills.

Thanks!
Jon (looking forward to trying Lane #1)

I know I've saved lots of money in the past using eBay (car/bike parts and such). However, I have a good relationship with my pro shop, and I do not want to throw that out the window just to save a few bucks. I run an auto repair shop, and I must admit that I get a little tweaked when customers want to supply their own parts or tires (unless they are upgrading to performance/custom parts in which case I have no problem with it at all). I know the pro shop would be happy to drill it for the usual labor charge if I supplied the ball, but I feel he is entitled to make a few bucks on the ball as well (so long as a few bucks does not turn into an early retirement program!).
