Why the Lane #1 buzz?
« on: February 22, 2009, 02:20:56 PM »
I've been throwing Utah brands for yeaaaars and I've been noticing a surge of Lane #1 support.  For those that are loyal to the saw, why do you support it above other brands?  I've owned lane 1 before and haven't been blown away but have definitely noticed they are good.  For those that love them, why do you think they give you a better chance to strike above others?

personally i'm not too impressed with my buzzbomb/R, but i wouldn't be against trying something else from them, that's for sure.  I just don't need to feed my bowling ball addiction right now

no magic ball, they just fit my game very very well, I threw a lot of big b and a lot of storm in the past, and lane 1 gave me a roll and hit i was not getting from the others.  everyone makes great stuff, but those of us that do throw lane 1 love the way it works.  I wont sit here and tell y ou they are better then the rest, but I will say I have 3 balls from them with an excess of 2500 games on them each and they still perform just like the day I got them, impressive in my mind.

plus their customer service is second to none  as a user i have first hand knowledge of that, as a reseller i have even more insight into what that policy means to buyers of the brand

I had a buddy that was on Lane 1 staff before they got really "big" and he mentioned how they were amazing with customer service and helped their staff....I loved my lane 1 stuff when I threw it I just notice a sort of cult following and wonder if I should start throwing them again....

I haven't thrown any of the new stuff such as the Agent orange or the chainsaw etc but I'm intrigued...

I am very new to the lane 1 group, so I don't know if you can say I have loyalty to them just yet, as I throw many different brands. I can say though, that I picked up an AO and polished it with beans sauce, and it has the best roll of any ball I have ever owned, and carry is outrageous. I don't know if the ball is just that much better, or is it that it just works for my game. What brought me to Lane1 was the buzz it generated, some said it was overpriced, some said it was second to none, i just had to try it!

I'm seriously debating picking up a chainsaw or a THS just for something that will allow me to play right of like 20 on a THS lol.  I have a problem with these new balls just being way too much for most house patterns so I have been looking into either of those two as a nice, predictable ball that is of higher quality than say, a tornado or jazz etc etc

I wouldn't recommend the THS for a 1st Lane 1 ball....hasn't been very popular. I suggest BuzzbombR or chainsaw depending on how much backend you want.

pretty easy for me...after all the hand/elbow problems I've had the last year, I couldn't find anything with the carry I got with a Lane #1 ball after dropping to 14lb. equipment. I've tried Storm, Brunswick, Track and Hammer. They all had thier good/bad points for me...Lane #1 just fit my game better.
