Supernova surface question
« on: January 18, 2008, 09:47:41 AM »
I have a 15 lb. Supernova, pin under the ring finger, cg kicked right at 45*.  I have left the ball in box condition, rather shiny.  I have been toying with the idea of knocking the shine off the ball and taking it down to about 1000 grit abalon.

So, I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so, how did it change the reaction of the ball.  Thanks for your help.  Scott

500 and 1000 is where I found the SuperNova had it's best reaction.

I have been throwing mine in OOB finish and it was not doing too bad. After reading this topic, I decided to try it dull just to check it out.

WOW! The dull finish really woke the ball up. It is a beast now

Tweaking the surface really made this ball come alive for me too.
