The Supernova XP has a center heavy core design and will be more of an arc through the backend compared to the SUPER BOMB core of the Pearl Cherry Bomb. The PCB has a dual stacked nugget inside the Bomb core that has a single density flip block. This gets the ball revving early and still produces a straong flippy backend due to the flip block.

XP coverstock is slightly stronger so that will also aid in the ball reading a little earlier and remaining a little smoother.

Hope this helps.... In my opinion the balls are not very similar. A polished Buzzbomb would be closer to the PCB reaction.
