Teal on Ebay
« on: January 21, 2006, 05:20:37 PM »
I find it difficult to gamble on someone w/ no feedback rating, who doesn't accept Paypal AND who posts a stock photo of the ball.  Might make me feel better if he at least had a legit photo of the ball and its box.  Anyone else wary of this deal?

If you're hesitant..go with your gut feeling.  I saw a guy selling a Morich WMB for $80 NIB.....but the bidding list was kept private and so was his user rating...if it seems too good to be true..it probably is.

I guess there should be a disclaimer here...my EPX cracked..and it hooks less than my Spare Tire...but still it's sadly in my bag.

I sent him an email requesting references or SOMETHING.  Hopefully, he will respond.

This was my concern also and posted it in bbr. I'd love to have this ball but I've been burned badly at eBay before with sellers with nothing to low ratings. I'm highly suspicious with sellers that doesn't accept PayPal also.

The other point is if he's been a lane 1 dealer for a long time, how come he did not use eBay before?

I tried contacting him when he first put it on then again yesterday and haven't heard a word back yet.  While I'd love it like everyone else I think someone's gonna get burned on this one.

HMM, I don't know who he is, but he has 9 items for sale including a NIB 16# comet. It's possible the reason you haven't heard back is because it's the weekend.

I asked him if he would accept paypal and his response was:

   __________________________________________________________________________

I would love to accept paypal...but I had a paypal and netteller account for banking purposes and I had a major problem with identity theft that took 2 years to fix...and I still cant get all of the credit damage fixed. At this time I am just not comfortable doing internet transactions into my bank account.

The ball did look tempting and sweet tho

Im not saying this guy is legit or not, but I have been battling with Paypal for quite some time now.  They have a hold on all my funds going in and out, because of a security breach on their end.  I apologize to Warren300 for the hold up, They say everything should be fixed soon.
That being said, I too would be a bit on edge about this guy.

I personally wouldn't mind finding a 15# Comet PRo....but seems like all I can find is 14 or 16.  I just can't imagine paying $400 for a ball.  Guess its just me.  The plug about looking for the Comet  Pro in 15# was a hint!!!!
