Teal Pro and Pink Raspberry Surfaces?

Hoping someone here can tell me what the factory NIB surfaces were for the Teal Pro Buzzsaw and the Pink Raspberry C2?  I tried to find the info on the Lane#1 site but couldnt find it.  Thanks.

Edited to add the word 'Pro'.

The Pink Raspberry is the same as the Black Raspberry, the Blueberry and the Cranberry and the original Danger Zone: Brunswick's solid PowerKoil 18. Different polishes, but the same chemical composition, AFAIK.

The Pink and the Black came dull (600-1000 girt); the Blueberry came something like 1500 grit polished (very shiny cover). Not sure what the finish on the Cranberry is. Danger Zone was something like 600 grit polished.

Charlest, is it possible that the Blueberry was 800 Grit and then polished? The reason I am asking is because I asked someone on this site a couple weeks or so ago (can't remember who) what grit the Blueberry was and they said 800. They said when ever their shop resurfaces a Blueberry, they resurface it to 800 and then polish it. Mine is getting scratched up from poor lane maintenance in one house I bowl in plus it is starting to get a light track on it and will need to be resurfaced in the future.

Of course it's possible. That's a very highly reflective shine on the Blueberry considering it's a solid. I think an 800 grit surface would have had much higher overall hook numbers on many reviews (BTM). The Neo-Tac Khamleon which uses the same cover but dull has huge numbers. That PK 18 cover is very strong, or can be based on core and surface prep.

The exact cover numbers are nearly as important as the reaction which reflects the ball's capapbilites. AND this cover is extremely easy to modify.

Sounds like you're starting to have the same cover problem that several owners of Blueberries/Blueberrys have mentioned. I don't like the sound of it. I have the Fire QUantum which has a highly polished version of PK 18, with a ton of games on it already and there's no sign of a track so far. PK 18 is usually durable in the extreme.

Even though it has barely started to show a track, if the next 100 games doesn't wear it any faster than the first 100 games, then it will not need to be resurfaced prior to then then.

If it's just beginning to show a track after 100-120 games, that is fine. Bad and/or old lane wood often shows a track after 10-15 games. My pro shop guy's V2 Sanded, after being polished, did just that. That is BAD. YOurs is reasonable, heck, maybe even on the good side. Like I said, PK 18 is definitely on the durable side.

FYI Brunswick recommends oil rejeuvenation via bowling ball heat machine after 60 games for a resin ball. 30 games for a particle. Personally, unless you bowl in heavy oil, or you neglect your balls, I think those numbers are low.

Charlest, I have put Doc's Elixir on it every 20-25 games since the day I got it. Even though some people say not to, I recently sat it out in the sun along with my V2 Pearl and Inferno and even though I have also kept the V2 coated with Elixir, it bled like crazy while the Blueberry and Inferno didn't show even the slightest sign of bleeding. Of coarse the Inferno doesn't have near the amount of games that the Blueberry and V2 do.

Brick,

If you use the Elixir, then you can keep your own "bleeding" schedule. Just remember, the Elixir won't affect the tracking of the ball AFAIK.
