Super Carbide Bomb discontinued??

Buddies no longer lists it for sale on their website. Has it been axed? Is there a new solid reactive particle on the horizon?

I knew it was on its way out this year due to its age in the line up but i haven't heard the final word of its exit I will ask next time I talk with them or perhaps someone else can confirm its exit.  I sure would love to see the Goliath coverstock on the Dirty Bomb core as its replacement who's with me.

S is the Nugget Ten Pin and its been discontinued for a while.

I definitely haven't heard anything about the cherry bomb but I assume the pearl and black are somewhat getting replaced my the dirty and hybrid so I would guess all the older bombs will be gone sometime down the road maybe this year.  I know I don't have any use for the cherry or black anymore.

I wouldn't expect the USBC to make companies stop making balls that don't qualify if they are already approved.  Balls like the BCB and SCB are very high diff balls, and I would imagine Lane #1 could keep making them as long as they wanted to, but they couldn't get, say, a Super Black Cherry Carbide Bomb approved with the same core.  That's how I interpret the grandfathering clause.

I don't think it would be fair to the companies because anyone who had a lineup with high-diff balls would suddenly have to stop production on those balls and design replacements.

i think the cherry bomb is being discontinued due to the release of the dirty bomb and the hybrid.
lane 1 tends to discontinue balls as new ones are released.....cranberry,goldben nugget, xxl etc

ONE MORE TIME - the USBC ruling on differential means that NO NEW bowling balls will be approved with a differential greater than 0.060.
ANY BALL WITH A DIFFERENTIAL GREATER THAN 0.060 APPROVED FOR COMPETITION IS FINE. IT'S GRANDFATHERED IN!!! AND THE MANUFACTURERS DON'T HAVE TO STOP MANUFACTURING THEM.

Maybe someone from Buddies or Lane #1 could give us some more info? I don't think that Buddies would stop selling it if it was still being manufactured. And Lane #1 usually doesn't discontinue an important arsenal piece (solid particle in this case) without a replacement in the works. Maybe the Hybrid gets particle added to its shell in the next release?

the cherry bomb being discontinued is directly from lane 1--no mention of the scb.
