I drilled one up a few weeks back and have not really had a chance to play with it until tonight.
I don''t have the exact layout handy but it''s got the pin an inch above the ring with the cg kicked out 2-1/2" right on the midline. Weighthole is located 6-1/2" from grip center on the midline.
**UPDATE: Dual Angle Layout is: 45 x 4-1/2 x 35 **
I was hoping the Gemstone was going to be my goto ball when the Curve and Blue Death were too much. Well, I got a surprise.
I decided to put away my Blue Death and my Curve in favor of the Gemstone tonight. What I saw on the lanes was nothing short of amazing. This is supposed to be a "weak" ball...NOT! I ended up sitting on the same line I was with my Curve the night before but I was able to be a bit more comfortable with slightly slower ball speed. I had my feet on 35, targeting over 20 with my breakpoint around 10 or 12. This ball was just crushing the pins. 10 pins were minimal, no 9 pins at all and only 2 splits total.
This ball is just flat out awesome....I am going to give it another go next week and see what happens.
