Let me begin first with this....My Blueberry is everything I have wanted in a ball. I can play wherever I want, in most houses (on THS) and I toss it better than anything I have thrown in my life. I have had this ball for 3 weeks now, and have had a million people ask what it is and how they can get one. When I throw this ball it looks like the "perfect shot" probably 95% of the time. It is able to recover from 3-4 board at 48-50 ft. or hold the inside and make the turn. The problem is carry...
It has no favorites, ringing 10-pins, stone 8-pins, smash 9's, blowout 7's, flush 4 and pocket 7-10 from time to time. To make things worse it always carries in practice, and I go with it. I see folks fluffing the ball...and carrying. I see folks putting up so many revs the oil about catches on fire....and carrying. In both cases with less than perfect shots, but for me I need a slingshot and rock if I want to string strikes.
Being that I haven't yet made my profile I will give you some info.
RH, above avg. revs, 17.5 mph on Qubica, textbook type form, avg. composite in 4 leagues (3 houses) is 226.
The BB is drilled pin-under ring finger, CG is kicked out a tad. I am completely satisfied with the drilling as it is very predictable for me. I have noticed that i seem to carry better with more arc and less angle. My BB doesn't exactly Skid-Flip but revs early while coasting down the lane then makes a pronounced turn about 48ft down, not flippy, not a true arc.
So with all that out of the way, I am thinking about adding some surface to it so I can burn some excess energy off of it. Has anyone tried this with the BB and if so what were the results? What is the cover at in the NIB condition?
Any help is appreciated.
