thinking about trying lane 1...which ball
« on: June 17, 2006, 03:22:39 AM »
i am thinking about trying lane 1.  i have seen a few of them in action and the one i liked the most was the tsunami.  i just want the one go to ball that they have that everyone likes.  not exactly trying to put it in a specific place in the arsenal.  my pap is 5 1/8 over and 3/8 up.  axis rotation is 30 degrees and tilt is 10.  any suggestions on layouts also would help.

The Tsu is one of Lane #1's (if not the) versatile ball.
The cover is solid and can be easily modified to suit the lane conditions.

I know a lot of sawheads will pop in for their .02 cents.

I have mine drilled up Semi Pin Axis and really love the reaction I get on light medium to drier conditions goes really long and makes a hard left turn driving through the pins

My U Pearl has a 60* drilling on it and is great for most typical house shots. This drilling gives me a readable length with a solid backend reaction. Mine's polished to 1000 and is a good solid ball.
I'd put it away for heavier shots and carrydown unless you want to move right and play straighter than normal.

U-Pearl and U-solid are my two favorites (obviously one for heavy, and one for medium).

I have thrown the Uraniums and the Tsunami as well.  Trust me on this, for VERSATILITY, go with the Tsunami.  It will cover a wider range of conditions than the other balls will.

With that being said, the Uraniums are awesome when used on the proper conditions.

I sold my Pearl U cause it over-lapped my Tsunami.

IMO I'd got for the Tsunami, plus the Pearl U is discontinued.
