How strong is the super carbide?
« on: December 17, 2003, 04:58:37 PM »
Seeing how no other companies solid balls match up to my game for anything.  I was wondering how strong this ball is supposed to be.  I may have to oportunity to pick one up for a price I cannot refuse.

Anyone know how it compares to the deuce or icon 300 I am getting rid of?  Or how does it compare to the Green Bomb, which I loved?

I need a reliable ball stonger than my Eraser Particle Pearl, and haven't been able to find one.  It may be between this and the Black Cherry Bomb (since lane 1 pearls dont agree with me, but the solids do).  Any help is appreciated

i like my super carbide better than my icon 300 because it revs up and reads the lanes a little better i think.  definitely stronger than the green bomb, but revs the same.  probably 5-10 boards stronger as long as it's in oil.  if you can get a good deal, i don't think you'd be sorry!!

This ball (black original Super Carbide) drilled to roll early is an ABSOLUTE monster on the lanes.  It will flare more than 8" easily.  This ball chews through OB, CARRYDOWN, and even some wood on the lanes.

I couldn't use it anymore, it just hooked too damn much after I plugged and redrilled it.  It either rolled the entire lane or flared a ton from gutter to gutter.  It wasn't good to me on THS because it would roll out too soon.(obviously).

In my opinion too, it generated the most pin action out of every Buzzsaw I've ever thrown.

It's a definite keeper, I shot well in county tournies with that ball!

Would you give everything up, just to do it all over again?

Pin_Krusher IS a serious threat to modern day bowling wood as we know it today.

Thanks, guys.  I just picked up a used original Black Carbide, so I wanted to be sure which ball was being discussed.

the super carbide bomb will outhook most balls in heavy oil.it needs heavy oil to work properly, other wise energy is lost and it will be doa.
the ball rolls thru the midlane making a strong curve to the pocket.do not measure this balls power by the back end reaction, look for the friction it gets early on..
