Had one drilled it stacked but hated it....sold it. It staked on oil and was very unreadable, it would hook one shot and not the next. I tried it a several different finishes but didn't really have any luck.I might try another one if I can find one cheap.

EU is very touchy ball to the lane condition

to use it, you must have meduim condition or heavy condition with outside dry boards or clean backend .. this ball is not for heavy oil with carry down

this ball has one of the biggest backends I even seen in bowling, it can cover 15+ boards in a blink of an eye ... but again, it needs the right lane condition

many make a mistake and try to use it for heavy oil or not pay attention to the oil movement on the lane and they end up throwing the ball on (all oil line) and then they hate it

I got 2, 3-3/8 stacked and the other is 5-1/2 x 5

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind me asking a question about the EU but after seeing quite a lot of people reviewing the EU it seems that its either a "hate-it or love-it" type of relationship.

I'm asking 'cause I am looking for a ball to go between my Scorchin and The One, like when the lanes starts to break down and the Scorchim starts to get crazy and yet The One is kinda coming behind the headpin.

So I was thinking about getting the EU or the Cobalt for the number two position, so between these two which ball would be the better choice for the carry down conditions? Thanks.

for me when i first used it new out of box the thing broke way too much but after a few games it now has turned into my favorite ball and have been able to use it to all conditins i bowl on.  Except extreme dry but i find a spot and as the oil goes i move left and well really a good ball.  So i went from hating it to discovering where the ball works good and became a first out of the bag

I'm still working out my EU.  It had a shorter pin, so I put the cg in the palm and the pin at 1:30, under the ring.  I have been playing around with it on league conditions... the typical walled up shot with dry outside and clean backends.  With the box condition on a fresh shot, the ball is actually hard to control.  You have to get it out to the dry to react, but as soon as it hits the dry, it wants to flip, period!  This leads to over/under on the fresh shot.  I tried to smooth out the reaction by hitting the surface with a 1000 grit abralon pad, but all this really did was make the ball a couple boards stronger... still very skid/flippy.  I can play as deep as I like with this ball, just as long as I hit the dry at the correct distance down the lane.  This makes it easy to get the correct angle to the pocket and carry (assuming you can consistantly hit your break point... if not, it makes the ball very over/under)...  I think that I am going to polish mine again and save it for broken down shots where you need length and backend to carry...
