I recently won an auction on eBay for a "Rare Lane#1 Comet".
Can anyone give me any info on this ball to include core, coverstock, etc???
Thanks fellow Lane #1 enthusiasts...........

hi-the core is the same as the bullet.....the ball would be good for drier lanes--very even and smooth rolling ball......

I am not sure if this ball is Pk18 or not, by my best estimates the Danger Zone first Brunswick ball to use Pk18 correct, circa de 1996, now I think a quantum used it before then but let stick to regular Big B. The Comet was out in 1995 so I doubt Lane#1 used Pk18 before Big B just a hypothesis on my part. I am guessing it was one of the earlier milder reactive resins. Even the earlier versions of Pk18 if it were per say are milder than the current versions of Pk18 in my opinion which is why you see the differences between the pink, black, and blueberry balls which are suppose to be identical. Basically your comet should be a low flairng dry lane ball much like the bullet as someone mentioned but maybe not quite as weak with the solid coverstock.

I think the Comet was a Teal Rhino Pro cover... Is this correct Ritchie?
