Comparison Question
« on: October 20, 2003, 12:25:03 AM »
The two balls I am looking at:
1) Carbide Pearl Bomb
2) Cherry Bomb

Looking at the specs, the flare potential of the two balls are both 8".  The Cherry Bomb (wich is a pearl resin ball) has a hook rating of 25, while the carbide pearl( which is a particle pearl resin ball) has a hook rating of 23.  Which one of these two balls will go longer (given the same layouts & lane conditions)?  I'm inclined to think the pearl bomb would hook a little earlier due to the particles (even though it has a weaker core).  But, the cherry bomb is supposed to be a "stronger" resin...  Would they both be about the same?

Thanks,
S^2

the pearl although a carbide coverstock will not be a strong as the cherry bomb...it will roll up earlier as it has a loaded core with nuggests.the purple pearl is solid.
