Given the proper surface prep and drilling will this ball handle carrydown?

IMO as long as you don't got to the extremes (heavy oil/no oil) this ball can handle just about anything.  The Tsunami is about the best all around ball available.

Yes. I removed the factory shine with green scotchbrite pad and hand polish once with 3M rubbing compound. I can now use this ball to swing from inside (15-20 boards) and it comes back hard. It handles carrydowns. I really like this coverstock prep better than the OOB.

BTW, hows the black raspberry so far ?

once again i will preach the semi pin axis driling, i throw the tsu on just about anything and it handles it well, carry down never seems to be an issue
