Tsunami question

Hey all, so I just landed my first Lane 1 ball. I always wanted this ball and saw someone had it in my league last week and said man...I've always wanted that ball....this week he offered it to me for 20 bucks!  I was like....SOLD!!!  ha!  Anyhow, it's drilled pin down below ring and mb kicked out like 45 degrees.(Just eyeballing it no exact measurements)  It's a heavy 15lb.  Everything I've seen shows this ball strong and it's a strong drill....what can I expect out of this ball drilled in this fashion?  I gotta move the thumb but leaving fingers as is.  I'm medium speed/medium revs mostly stroker/tweenerish style.  I usually throw 15s, but I figure it being a heavy 15 is going to slow my ball speed a bit.  What should I expect on THS?  Sport shots?  Oh and what is OOB finish on this thing...didnt find it here.  Thanks!

I had that ball back in 2005. I bought it brand new off the web and threw my first 300 with it after my third week of use. I remember the finish just was polished. probably 2000 w/high gloss. I hade mine pin down drilling and it was a great ball for fresh house conditions but not very good when the lanes broke down. Its a brunswick made lane #1 which where known to be good balls..

I loved mine. Probably my favorite Lane #1 ball of all time and I still use it.
 
It was meant for mediums when it was built, so forget using it on heavy oil now. It's an ideal league ball -- cover helps smooth out the transition, and that big, heavy core just rolls downhill over everything.

If you are an up the back bowler, you're probably going to see a "hook set" reaction.    Good for dry backends.   If you twirl it, you are probably going to see a violent sideways move on the dry.

My Tsunami is great on the THS pattern.  I have the coverstock at 2000 abralon with Snake Oil.  It sort of looks like a marble as it rolls down lane.  I have it drilled with the RICO layout and generally play down and in up the 10 board.  This gives me good length but a strong arc that doesn't roll out.  It's works best for me on lighter to medium heavy oil.  On flatter heavy oil, it's not such a good match for me so I generally won't roll it on those lane conditions.

 Shot 300 with mine to back in '06. Got it used from a local bowler cheap because it died our and stopped hooking. Came home and gave it the hot water treatment and hit the cover with a grey pad (800)....ball was awesome, very smooth and great carry !
