I gave in to the hype and purchased the Boom/R ang, I placed the Pin under my bridge and swung the Cg 45 degrees as the gradient drilling instructions suggested, it's a good ball but the claims of a ball that does not roll-out is mis-leading, any ball that encounters dry in the mid-lane is going to roll out at some point and will leave corners so the New boomerang core works to help the roll but because this ball does not have a strong cover, it won't cover many boards and carry from deep inside, as with most Lane #1 releases, a smooth Arc standing 20 up 5 board is where this ball shines.

tis my fave out of lane 1 right now, its not a big bender but it is a very strong continuaton on the backside, not as snappy as the virtual energy Im throwing but drives harder thru the backend, dont get me wrong I can get the Boom to turn the corner hard, but Ive migrated away from pushing out to that 5 board and watching washouts happen, I am more then happy to play the oil line and the boom does it with the best of them, both balls are finished at 2k abralon with polish the VE has a stronger pin to pap drilling with the pin being 4.25 to my pin and the boom being 5.5 pin to pap, both are drilled stacked both have p3 weight holes, the boom can stay and play longer then the VE on most nights.  most nights I go VE then Boom as the Boom is better suited with a little carry down on the backside

over a 5 week window this once a week league bowler averaged 250 over 15 games with the Boom, so to say I like it is an understatement, had 3-279 games and one 289 game in that mix so to say i like it would be an understatement

Thank zeusir but I have a blank BoomR'ang, but I wouldn't mind layout help. (14.5mph at  pins like to  play around 2nd arrow, stroker my PAP is 5 1/4 also I am left-handed. have a Nano(5x4x4 pin centered above fingers) which is most of the time two strong even to start out league with. and a Anarchy(pin centered above fingers not sure of other specifics) which I have to be spot on with or it with go to long and leave a lot of 7 pins, Is it possible to fit the BoomR' ang in between the two or is it going to be weaker then the Anarchy. Thanks any feed back would be great.

I have a Boom'R-Ang drilled pin up with the cg near the center of grip, almost a label drilling. I drilled mine this way to tame down the backend a little bit. With my revs strong pearls can be uncontrollable off the dry. When the backends are fresh, this ball still is a bit much for me. It has really shined later in the set when the lanes start to break down and the backends blend a bit. My house does put some oil on the outside boards so the "throw it out and watch it come back" phrase used in the ad hasn't worked well for me. When I get it outside I leave a lot of corners, or it just won't recover at all. For me, this ball shines when I keep it inside a little more. As will all shiny pearls, this ball is speed-sensitive. It can be a tad over/under though I haven't had as much of a problem with this one as I did my Curve. I've heard of a couple people sanding it to 2000 or 4000 and smoothing it out a lot. It still clears the front of the lane and drives strong on the backend, but doesn't have the over/under of a polished ball.

With mine I probably should have went with putting the PIN below my fingers, but with your slower speed a similar drilling to mine may very well be the ticket...
