Initial Tsunami Reactions
« on: September 29, 2005, 02:38:45 PM »
Drilled out my ball today (15# 2 oz, 3-4 pin, 3.1 top weight). The layout I chose was one of my favorites...4-1/4 pin to PAP, MB stacked about 1-1/2" right of thumbhole. Weighthole 1-1/2" below PAP pitched away from palm to remove excess side weight and balance the finger/thumb.

Drilled the ball at 5 PM and league started at 6, no practice before league.

Initial reaction was wow...smooth roll, even arc on the back and a good hit and mix. Managed to throw 6 in a row in practice.

The most amazing thing is that I did not leave a corner pin the entire night!!! This is not normal for me or our lanes. Corner carry is at a premium.

This ball seriously reminds me of a stronger rolling Blueberry. Nothing too flashy (OK the ball looks awesome going down the lane) but it gets the job done with authority.

Play it up the boards and carry was good, circle the ball and carry was good. With our oiul pattern and the layout I have on it the ball seemed to like to be played with a solid swing and a firm release. The more you turn it, the better it hits....

SO far (after 3 games) I'll give the ball a solid 9 out of 10 so far. Granted I have 3 games on it but just wanted to give my initial impressions.
