Stacked Drillings on Lane#1
« on: November 01, 2005, 11:20:54 PM »
Which Lane#1 cores do not react well to a stacked lev. drilling?  I remember people stating that those drillings do not work well on certain Lane#1 balls.

You can stack them like 4x4 or 5x5 but stacked leverage kinda makes them burn up.  They are generally speaking earlier heavy rolling balls(not in all cases)because the diamond cores are large fat cores but if you drill them really agressively they are going to burn up under most scenarios.  I like 4x3 5x4 4x4 3x4 and 5x4 personally.  If you want lev. the pin and keep the cg palm this also works very very well, AKA label lev or label 1:30.  I personally think this goes for both sets of cores.

Agreed while throwing the ball like shit last thursday I did manage to get use to my new thumb pitches and I used the Tsunami exclusively all night.  I even threw it at spares it felt so good I didn't want to put it down.

Is the Pin under RF and CG out such as 4 x 3 1/2 or 4 x 3, etc a safe drilling on most of the Saws?

As long as you dont track too high and can use pin below drills that is fine, I personally always keep pin above because of my high track.

I have had & do have stacked drillings on diamond core, C & C2, also bomb cores, & have not had a problem with roll out. None of mine are 3 3/8 stacked, & maybe those high flaring layouts are the ones that create that problem. I haven't experienced any bad roll, lack of hit, or burn out on any of mine, only problems being operator error!

I generally drill all my gear stacked, and I also have had no problems with either diamond or bomb cores.

Inverted 1, did your track go inverted with that ball, or is that why you have that user name? My track has gone inverted since using buzzsaws.
