What reaction will I see with the H2O drilled...
« on: January 27, 2006, 01:18:31 PM »
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

I drilled a Enriched Uranium and a Bullet the same way, pin over the ring finger and CG stacked.  I drilled a Tsunami with the pin under the ring finger and CG in the strong position.  I drilled the H2O with a 2:30 drilling or pin 2 inches from my PAP and the MB about 3/4 of an inch on the left side of the thumb.  I know that there are many things to consider so far as ball speed, rev rate but for a bowler with 16.5 speed, 350 revs and tracks a little low PAP 4 7/8 and 5/8 up, all approximate, What difference and I going to see in the bowling balls.  I know with any oil at all the Bullet goes straight looking for a dry spot to make a move, so the ball works well in light/dry conditions.

Hopefully someone is smarter then me and can actually understand my question.

On the H2O drill sheet I got the second diagram from the right on top states that the closer you move the pin toward the 3 O'clock position the more length the ball will have.  I thought it was the complete opposite. Move the pin toward the top of the bridge for more length and a smoother earlier rolling ball with the pin getting closer to the 3 O'clock position.

Thank you.

Should I move this post to another part of Ballreviews?  I thought some of you guys from the F.O.S would know about the Lane 1 drill sheet and the discussion of moving the pin toward the 3 O'clock position adding length.

Nicanor, It could be some of the guys haven't seen your post yet. According to lane one, the pin more toward 3'oclock in relation to cg placement, the more length you will get. In my opinion, the layout you describe should give you decent length & a strong backend reaction without the violent flip. Be patient, I'm sure some of the other guys will chime in!

Thank you Sawuser.  Everything I learned was pin away from PAP for lewngth and closer to PAP or about 3 O'Clock for earlier roll. Am I out to lunch here?

Thanks for responding to my orginal post.
