Golden Nugget

specs on this ball are:
Rg 2.45
Diff .o43
Radioactive Coverstock
for a ball that glides thru drier fronts and
is Radioactive on the backends.
Chat away!!!
AND NO I DO NOT CARE WHAT IT FREAKING COSTS JABONEHEAD!!!!!!!!!
so don't start the sh!t.

Saws are made to cut ANYTHING including 10 pins
-
Does any one know yet what the core will be?
-
Yeah, how about that core? What is a 'radioactive coverstock'? Im not gonna get cancer, using it, am I?

on edit: I saw the ball on their site. IMO, got to be the nicest looking ball they have ever made!

Where did you get this information?
-
Some info on Lane #1 web page.
-
Is this Radioactive coverstock Lane #1's very own? They refer to it as "our" coverstock and list the nam as being trademarked.

Hey Buzzhead,
The ad says Atomic on the backs
. Wonder what condition this ball should be good, and where it fits in their line? Should rev up earlier with more flare.

I do not yet know the price on these balls guys but they are about 3 weeks away from being available.
What I can see is a smooth arcing ball up front fro a smooth midlane read and a sticky dull resin to start up and slam the backend. Could quite possibly be a replacement for the Cranberry AND Black Cherry Bomb depending on how things go.
From looking at the core used and the coverstock I am going to anticipate the price being around the Cherry Bomb.
I'll take preorders at $169 for you. If they are less, I'll send a refund with the ball. If they are more, oh well, my loss. Shipping will be $12 to eastern timezone, $15 to central, $18 to mountain and $20 to pacific.
If you want to order one, please EMAIL ME instead of messaging me here. Click on the link below to send me an email...

Couldn't it be lane #1's OWN coverstock? They list a TM for the name.
-

I had the same problem chainsaw....I am guessing the page is cached on your ISP server somewhere and your browser is going there to find it as opposed to going to the Lane 1 site for it.
With using a more dense XL core and apparently an aggressive coverstock, could this be a new and improved Pro Purple or Teal Pro???
I have no further information to report..... :-D

That's my guess, also. I'm also betting it is similar to the new Brunswick Solid Inferno, because it is supposed to have a very low RG like the original Inferno.
As for the cover name being trademarked, it is just the name being trademarked, not the chemical formula. I doubt if Lane#1 already started making their own coverstock forumlated by their own chemical engineers.

RECOMMENDED LANE CONDITIONS? I don't think LANE 1 is providing that any more .. at least they didn't for the Golden Nugget! Am I mistaking? I for one think that is NOT FAIR .. the least they can do is SUGGEST the BEST CONDITION for the ball ..
--------------------
Hit them light and watch them fight

JF.....the fact that they don't provide that info does not surprise me. Without a preconceived notion of what the ball is designed for people cannot scream because the ball didnt work on that condition for them.
Ala...Storm saying the Big Hit solid is a good dry lane ball. Mine hooked nearly as much as my Trauma on our house shot. The Response is a heavy oil ball? uh how about not? My Trauma ER hoked more than my Response.
Columbias Icon300 being a heavy hooking ball? There are 5 guys in our handicap league that can't make them moe and they are pretty po'd about it...."but the pro shop guy said it would hook a ton."
What I can say is that from what I have been told the ball is tremendous on medium conditions. I know a guy who has thrown the ball and he said it has the backend of the cherry bomb with the smooth midlane roll of the XL.
Release date is 3 weeks.....more info to be forthcoming.

lower RG and bigger diff than the Pro Purple, same core though, cleaner and stronger cover (supposedly)....sounds like a nice smooth and strong medium ball to me,...almost like a benchmark ball....
yes ?
--------------------
JEFF
Hello, I just lowered my track !
-
I am thinking that Jeff is on the right track here....arcy core with a strong resin cover would make a nice replacement for the Blueberry perhaps?
Well guys I'll have a finalized price tomorrow....I have 3 sold at $169 so far...anybody else?

the coverstock is a tweaked brunswick activator coverstock...it has a very dense core, and will be available second week in feb.prices will be the same as the bombs.......
-
i'm betting that after the extensive pressure i've put on mr buzzsaw over the past year that this new ball is a remake of the purple pro with a higher density core. nothing else makes sense to me . . .
however, all of these people with insider information may be correct. i'm sure . . .
so where does this series of bowling balls go? uranium, plutonium, protactinium, neptunium . . .
--------------------
That which does not kill me makes me stronger . . .
-
I'd get the Uranium over the GN IF you are chosing one. The Uranium is amazingly clean through the fronts. Both balls are great but if you are house/league shooting go with the Uranium.

Mike, in addition to King's inquiry, does the Uranium perform on heavier oil than the Golden Nugget?
-
Buddies proshop has them listed for $190 + shipping

I like doug sterner's price, hey doug does this include shipping ??
Sorry Doug, didn't read your earlier reply

i was thinking something like, the Hydrogen Bomb! you could fill the core with water, let the 2 diamond nuggets float in there and get sloshed to the side due to G-force on the roll... that way the nuggets will ALWAYS be in position to deliver the best possible 'HIT'.
i think it'll sell like hotcakes!!!
