all i know is they don't react the same.  The dirty is a whole lot snappier for me.  the uranium pearl is smooth/controllable.  For me

Not sure, but would that have to do with the bomb core?

Yeah I would think the difference you are seeing is mostly the core. Much higher diff. Also could be the layout having some effect too.
