nova,

Have you ever thought about how much more revs you would get with a deeper left knee bend?  Your left knee seemed a bit straight, indicating that you are standing up at the fowl line.  Please accept this as constructive advice, and it was just the first thing I saw when I saw your ball movement.  I am just curious if you are satisfied with your reaction, and what you have thought about changing, if anything.  Your release also seemed a bit tame, which could be a timing issue, in conjunction with the knee bend.  I used to have that, and went to a 5 step approach, which when I got used to it, it helped my timing.

I liked the Crystal, and the carry with the solid seemed really good. I also have not seen a good Bullet until your video.

My delivery is mostly a result of knees and a back that belong on somebody three times my age. As for release, yes, I am trying to build wrist strength to allow me to stay under/behind the ball more. However, I am by no means disappointed with my game.

As for the comment made my Inverted...whether you are right or wrong in your observations, isn't bowling about matching up? I found something that works for me, so I stuck with it.

34ft sport pattern my ass!!!!

Unless there was something wrong with the lane machine THE DAY I BOWLED, it is supposed to be the same pattern we ran on Monday night. On Monday, I was told the lanes were taped, and they were in compliance. It is a sanctioned sport league, so they had BETTER be legit.

As for the day of the video, that pattern was laid out on one lane only for three of us to practice on. I was not keeping score, and I threw enough balls to have probably bowled 6-8 games. As I said, two other guys (also straighter players) were bowling on that same lane. It is entirely possible that we created some hold area just by bowling in the same area over and over. I DO know if you got too fast, or too far outside, there was no chance of getting to the pocket...washout for sure. And the opposite was true as well. Tug it a couple boards and you are crossing over. Same thing if you get slow or grab a handfull.

Anyhow, some people said they wanted a video of a Crystal Diamond, and some people wanted footage on a sport pattern. I did my best to deliver both.

My crystal diamond does clip the fingers and thumb. I have a very high track to begin with, but I usually throw spares with a broken wrist position (end over end). that is a recipe for thumpinmg! It does not hurt anything, and it does not bother me.
