Viper Solid reaction?
« on: October 13, 2008, 12:46:10 PM »
A question for all of the long time Sawheads...this ball came before my affiliation with Lane 1....

I just came across one of these gems sitting on the rack at a local center and purchased it for $10 from the guys at the desk.

What kind of reaction will I get from this ball? I am looking for a ball better suited for our 3rd game of THS league when my Tsunami starts flying.

The ball has about a 1-1/2" pin and I am in the middle of plugging it up as we speak. The thumb has some chipping around it so I had some extra work to do.

Thank you in adavance....

damn it!!!! i thought i scored one the other day too, but its a pearl viper, would have loved to pick up one of these gems too!

can you post pics of this one?

oh yeah and i was told by a friend who use to have one, that it was a super smooth reacting ball, probably a rhino solid reactive cover, its got the top cut diamond shape. Smooth early roll is my guess, third game with carry down would be perfect

Once I have her all cleaned up I'll put up some pics for you guys to drool over :-)

I had a 15-1/2# ball a little while back that was more purple but still the solid.

This ball is colored more like a slate u dot with a hint of purple...quite different.

Hey Beans...any help here?

Haven't seen many solids.. Lane#1 was still in it's infant stages then and the production volume for that ball was not many...LOL!!!

Not sure about the color variance. They were much darker than the pic on the Lane#1 website though.
