Any input appreciated..... I have a post in the "for sale section", looking for a NIB Black Buzz 16# (or 15). Yeah, I know.... What are the differences that you have noticed between a Viper and a Black Buzzsaw? The one that I have is black with a red pin and says Buzzsaw/C. I believe that it shares the same core as the "Silver", am I correct? THANKS for your time.....
Take care, Jeff

Hi Mr Wizard, I have a Black Raspberry already (THANKS JS).... David, do you a NIB 16# Black Buzzsaw? What is the difference between the "Viper" and "Black Buzzsaw"?
-
the viper has a flat top to the core......the orginal black saw has a solid diamond .the silver has a center nugget in the core and would be stronger than the black.my black rolls very even with a smooth backend.i could only use it for dry lanes.hope this helps....

i agree-only black saw with red pin or actually pink, is the black raspberry....orginal black came with yellow pin.

THANKS for all the input. Colin and Scottie, go to bowlingballreviews; there are "3" different "Black Buzzsaws" listed. The "Original", the "Black/C", and the "Black/C2".... The "Black/C2" is the Black Raspberry, it has a reddish purple pin (I have one sitting in front of me) and reddish purple lettering. The "Black/C" (the one I am asking about) has a reddish orange pin and reddish orange lettering, it has the same core (I believe) as the "Silver". The "Pink" and the "Blueberry" have Buzzsaw/C2 on their label (the "LRG" does not, it has Buzzsaw/C). I am looking for opinions on ball reaction. But, any information is appreciated. THANKS AGAIN.....
Take care, Jeff

The Viper rolls very smooth because it has almost no flare. The Black Buzzsaw/C (red pin) has the same core as the Silver Diamond and will react stronger than the Viper, but still be smooth in comparison to other companies stuff. =:^D

THANKS T-God, very helpful..... Snakes, Beans, Mr Wizard, or any longtime Saw owners; share some of your knowledge, PLEASE...

yes.. I have a black/c with red pin and labels... they do exist! Just very tough to find... took me 2 yrs. Core is same as silver (I believe), but has PK18 cover. Polished give good length and hard arcing backend.

The Bengals season has come to an end. Achieved the .500 mark, so all was not lost. Now we look forward to April... Come on Chris Gamble

That buzzsaw "C" is a new one for me. I have the original and have had the raspberry, but not familiar with the 2nd edition.

In a period of a little over a month, I came across two of them... both had the logos upside down. Sold one and still have the other. The one I have all black.. the other that I sold had some white swirled in it. The ball seems to roll well on most any condition.

Any more INPUT? Before we put this one to bed?

I have both the black buzzsaw/c and the viper...well had the viper. Both were smooth off the breakpoint, at least IMO. The black buzzsaw was noticebly stronger however. Still have the black buzzsaw, haven't thrown it in a while though, actually a tad to light. Actually I might break it out again and throw it and see what happens.
