New mid price stuff from Lane 1
« on: March 01, 2004, 08:32:06 PM »
Is the rumor true that Lane1 is coming out with a new ball line using Cubic Zirconium instead of Diamond weight blocks?

I heard, whats the word?   .....

They will be 120-130 instead of the higher 179.00.

C'mon guys it was a joke. What nobody's going to bash me. I figured I would get a rise out of someone.

I dont know what the price will be if in fact they do have a mid price line come out. I seen what they charged for thier plastic ball so I dont think it would be cheap but it would still be lower than thier current line. i would like to see some fresh variety out of them.

I spoke to a rep on this and it is under consideration. They have brought the idea up of coming out with a mid-range / lower end ball. Just keep in mind
it is being thought about and does not necessarily mean it is going to happen.

Pro`s / Con`s?

Pro - More broad range of customers
Con - Might push the people away who think Lane#1 is elite in this catagory.

What do you guys think?

Considering all of their stuff other than the bombs is pretty much on par with your average Monster line ball, I'm not sure where they would go to make a "mid line" ball.

lane#1 would be stupid to come out with a mid price ball. they have all these dumbarse's paying almost double for a ball that does the same thing as any other.

It might be interesting to find out if a midpriced/lower range ball line would keep Lane 1 from doing what Quantum did in the states.  Anyone know why Quantum is no longer really sold stateside?  Perhaps it was the high "elitist" prices?

Just my $0.02

I'll be all set once I figure out how to get this ball to throw itself.
