dirty bomb coverstock
« on: April 25, 2005, 03:09:48 AM »
is this same as absolute inferno (with different finish)?

i'm considering buying a new ball.  current choices are abs nanodesu pearl, lane#1 dirty bomb, dirty bomb hybrid.  looking to throw on medium lanes (sometimes with carrydown).

of 2 dirty bombs, i've heard a lot of coverstock issues for hybrid.  can someone explain me how the 2 balls will react differently?

currently throwing xception at the league.  i'd like something a bit earlier with just as much backend.  looking for that backend flip.  thanks.

The regular Dirty Bomb the pearl one is regular Activator(Original Inferno)Called Radioactive by Lane#1.  The Absolute is Activator + a different cover even besides the different finish.  Lane#1 has yet to use Activator +.  The Hybrid cover on the Dirty Bomb is a blend of Activator Solid and Pk18 Solid not used in this manner on any Brunswicks to date.  Two very good very predictable long lasting covers, basically two of th best covers ever made.  The hybrid is better for medium heavy/ to heavy depending on ball speed and hand.  Its not a hook monster well not on pure oil. The nam eof the game with both the Dirty's is smoothness they both cover a lot of boards and both hook a lot in the backend but they don't jerk at all off the dry.  I would lean towards to Hybrid if your going to have carrydown as you stated.  They are both very good balls, I for one don't see enough oil for my Hybrid very often and the Pearl Dirty Bomb is as of right now the first ball out of my bag.

awesome thanks for the reply guys.

this'd be my first lane#1 ball should i decide to go with lane1.  how does hybrid db and db compare to uranium pearl?  looking at the core, uranium'd be more rolly?  i don't mind the roll, but i really want that continuation thru the pindeck and strong recovery at backend.  thanks!
