Looking for a polished super carbide bomb
« on: December 20, 2005, 01:41:14 AM »
Simple and to the point. Looking for a single drilling, righty. 15 or 16. I have some stuff to trade. Some nib stuff, too. Send pics if you have them to axeweldr@aol.com

Well that is weird they did add it on.  Stupid USBC that further proves their ignorance.

My new SCB came factory polished.  I wish it wouldn't have because so far it doesn't work for what I wanted it for.  If I can't get it to work I might want to get rid of it.

sprocket, If you got it for heavy oil & it's not cutting it, why not sand it back to the original dull before giving up on it? Just a thought!

What's the best way to do that?  Six Pack says burgundy scotch brite.  What other ways are there?

I took it to the proshop.  They dulled it and then dulled it some more.  I think it's around 400 or 600 now.  I still doesn't hook a ton on the flood I bowl on, but now it hits like a truck and doesn't give over/under like before.

There is something said about a polished ball on a flood, I can't remember what it was though.....

Also there is something said about not having a ball hook a ton on a flood, even a sanded ball..... see above.
