Haha... I actually have been guilty of that in the past.  After I had the "satisfaction" of owning an undrilled Silver Diamond, Emerald Pearl, Blueberry, among others, I realized I would probably never drill them.

I decided to get rid of them.  I turned 4 undrilled Buzzsaws into 6 NIB balls and $225 via sell/trade.  Not a bad return, and now I enjoy using all the new stuff I have!

I agree too, if i have a nib ball i am not going to drill, it gets sold, find it silly to hang on to them, but to each his own, maybe it is like collecting beer cans lol, of course some of the guys i know who have some of the nib stuff sitting will eventually drill it, saving for a rainy day i guess.  In fact i have 5 nib balls i will be selling rather soon, maybe only 4 as one is begging me to drill it (but they are all new releases except for one)

Ive got a NIB 15lb BCB, saving it for my retirement fund in 20 years.
It should be a collectors item by then..

Well, then I feel "special".
I drill them all and use them. I have all of the current stuff, as well as a few of the older ones. I am still hunting for the older balls as funds allow. I just got back into bowling last season, so I missed out on the older balls. A couple of the retired balls are near the top of my favorites list, so I will keep drilling the old balls as I collect them. Yes, I said "collect". But my collection gets used. Some guys collect Hot Wheels or baseball cards. I collect bowling balls and old cars. I have the satisfaction of using both on a regular basis.
