Title: What ball is the Pro Buzzsaw? Is it the Teal?

I have an older Lane 1 ball and all it has on it is Lane #1 and Pro-Buzzsaw.  Its a turquoise in color (maybe teal) but thats it.

Yes, that sounds like the teal. It should have half a sawblade, say pro-buzzsaw, serial & made in USA. It also probably has a Lane#1 Inc label on it.

Thats it Sawuser.  I wasn't sure. I had it lying around so I plugged it and put my new span and picthes in it and put a little 3M compund on it to see what it will do.

The isn't any markings on the ball that say "Pro"  Might this be another on of those overseas balls?  The only Buzzsaw that I know of with "Pro" Marked on it is the Pro Purple.

The color of my ball is not the same and where your ball says Buzzsaw mine says Pro-Buzzsaw and on the left of the ball there is a full circle buzzsaw blade with the letters PRO in the middle of the circle.  It does say made in the USA though.

Got me, I just don't think it's the Teal, or atleast not the original like mine...  Oh and I forgot about the Comet Pro, but that one was blue.  Do you have any PICs?

I have a Pro Purple, so its not that I'm sure.

I wonder if its a Pro Comet but I thought that ball had Comet engraved on the ball somewhere.  It is almost a blue green.  Not a solid color.  Its marbleized with the darker color blue/green being more prominet and then a light blue green swirl. All the lettering is in yellow.

there are a few Pro-Teal's floating around out there. Sounds like you got one. I don't have specifics on it, but I would imagine it would be similiar to the Pro-purple. Meaning some type of particle load wrapped around the original diamond core. I believe it was a test-type ball, might have been the test ball for the Pro-purple. Whether or not that is true, I have no clue. I was just throwing that out there. You can go over to the lane 1 site and post something on there and Richie can answer that for sure.

The Pro-Comet was more of a blue, and yes, it would say Comet.

i have a teal that says pro and one that doesn;t..all the purple pro's had that logo after they finished with the purple saw and went to a different cover stock.

The Teal is a resin coverstock(no particles) & it is teal green in color. The original purple was also a resin with no particle load & then they came out with the pro purple which is a particle pearl resin.

Here is a picture & the specs, but this particular ball does not have PRO_BUZZSAW written by the half blade. Probably just a variation from batch to batch, but it's the same ball.

or...it could actually be like the pro-purple and have a particle load. Which I believe it is.

I am not saying that his teal is the "true" pro-buzzsaw. The purple is, what you have. What I am saying is that there are some Pro-Teal buzzsaw's out there that are like the Pro-Purple.

Chazman, What you are saying is that some of the teals had a particle load? If that is what you are saying, you are incorrect.

Did you look at the pictures in the links I posted? They are both the exact same ball & one says pro-buzzsaw & the other one doesn't. It's just a matter of label differences.

in the links you posted I don't see where either of them says "Pro" on them, from what I can tell, they are both pictures of the original teal.

Now, could I be wrong and it is just a label variation? Of course. But for some reason I don't think it is. I don't have proof that it is a different coverstock on it, but do you have proof that is doesn't?

Yes! Ihave the teal & the pro purple. My teal says pro on it, but is resin with no particles. The Pro purple I have also say pro, & it is a particle pearl.

Chazman, go back to the lane one link & look closely at the letters under the half sawblade. If you look closely or magnify it, you can see the words pro-buzzsaw. Also look at the ball description. It is not particle.

Ok, I went to the Lane 1 site and under retired balls pulled up the Teal...and zoomed in. It doesn't say "Pro"

OK, you may be correct there & this is not getting us anywhere. I gues the only thing to do is e-mail lane one to clear it up. The only thing I do know for sure is that I have a pearl resin teal buzzsaw & it does say pro-buzzsaw, & it also has the word pro inside a sawblade.
How about the comet pro?? Is it particle? It does not say so on the description, it just says reactive.

Your right. but just out of curiousity, how do you know the pro-teal you have is actually resin? are you just basing that off the lane 1 site?

Chazman, I am basing it from the listing on the lane one site & bR past & present. there are no particle teal balls listed anywhere & to my knowledge there were none ever made. You can even see & feel the difference between a pearl resin & a ball that even has just a light load of particles. But, I'm not going to continue trying to convince you of that fact.

Years ago when I was first interested in trying out a Buzzsaw, the local pro received two for me.  One was the Pink Raspberry C2 and the other was a teal Pro Buzzsaw.  The teal pro was reactive, not particle.  I dont think many were made and I think the only reason he got one in was because he knew someone over at Lane#1.  So yes, there was a teal Pro Buzzsaw and I think Nicanor has one.

hmm...interesting..it seems I may have to stand corrected. Just seems odd to me given the Pro-Purple that the Teal Pro would still be a resin though. I did put a post up on the Lane 1 site hoping to get some input over there.

I remember a post a while ago with someone asking about a Pro-Buzzsaw that was actually black, and Mr. Buzzsaw said it was a test ball, but no other info came from that.

Well, thinking back on it, I asked the proshop for two reactive buzzsaws but since I could find no info on the teal Pro on the website, I assumed that it was reactive like I asked for.  They could have pulled a fast one on me, LOL.

Thanks for checking out our website, hope you've enjoyed it. The Pro Teal Buzzsaw is a ball we made for Korea. It's the same as the original teal, only polished out of the box, instead of 320 grit, along with the word Pro in the logo's. The USBC only has Buzzsaw on their site, not the colors black, purple, and teal, for whatever reason, we don't know.

A few years back, Dunhams sporting goods had got a shipment of balls from brunswick.  They all came in white boxes with very bacis labels.  In these boxes were the following: Silver diamond saws, Teal pro saws, comets, Hacksaws, helix, double helix, and a few misc. quantums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, they retailed @ $ 19.95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought as many as i could find and made a killing.

Wayne bought the NIB Teal from me and it is a Teal Pro Buzzsaw.. The difference was the Teal Pro came polished. It may have been an overseas version too.  Very Rare!!!  That's why he paid almost $500 for it...  Thanks  Wayne
