what is the different lane1 product between the other brand
« on: February 08, 2004, 12:01:48 PM »
I see many many posts that complained the core of lane 1 ball is useless, I have total 3 lane1 ball, CB, GN, and XXL, all I can see is the core is so sure let the ball keep rolling and never say died, so I believe lane 1 is so smart to get patent their core. can you all share your opinions on the lane 1 ball with me ? in fact, I still believe the bowler will kill the lane 1 ball if throwing bad, but if you deliver your ball good, the lane 1 ball will never let you down.

he's asking what the real difference is between Lane #1 and other companies. share why you think your Lane #1 is superior. is it the core technology? is it the hit? the controlability?

hope this helps.

i don't care who makes it, how much it costs, or how sexy the ball looks. does it carry the 7 and level the deck? did i just beat you? aren't i clearing the heads with my $60 ball?

well, here's my experience.

for wet lanes, i would pull out the V2, hit the lane 2 times and if nescessary, adjust the coverstock with the pad. after my $60 BCB, the V2 sees maybe the last game of a 3 game set. i paid $175 for the V2 strong...

I have Lane 1 balls .. it APPEARS TO ME that the balls are good on SPECIFIC LANE CONDITIONS .. like most other balls if you go OUTSIDE OF THOSE CONDITIONS you have to put the ball away! When you get LANE 1 balls on their CONDITIONS .. are they the BEST BALL FOR THAT CONDITION .. not for EVERY BODY! I thought the GN was great for MED (maybe HVY) oil .. then I bought the APOCALYPSE .. now my GN is playing SECOND FIDDLE! The LANE 1 balls are OK if you have MONEY TO BURN .. if you don't there are EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVES.

NOTE: The poster asked us to share our opinions on LANE 1 balls .. I DID!

Jabroni, you're right, we never saw that one coming. Seriously now, thanks a bunch from myself as well I'm sure many others for not "stiring the pot." When you say things like this, you have my respect for you.

I am just like IEQ in that I don't think Lane 1 balls are any better than other high end balls....for what ever reason they just seem to work better for me on the local conditions I bowl on.

I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen people like LANE 1 bowlers on this site. When someone comes on here that has not been here long and ASK for an opinion on LANE 1 BALLS .. if the person responding doesn't say GREAT BALL .. NOTHING LIKE THEM .. THE BEST THERE IS .. the LANE 1 FANATICS .. go HAY WIRE! If you go back to the original post the writer states:

". can you all share your opinions on the lane 1 ball with me ?"

He didn't ask for only those who IDOLIZE the company to respond .. I gave my OPINION .. and I will say it any time someone ASKS!

I'm sorry if I offend the LANE 1 USERS .. but there are reasonable alternatives that provide equal or better results for MOST bowlers!

Joe, I must be missing something here as I went back and reread the posts a second time, a third time, etc. and I cannot fine where anyone said what you quoted above.

Perhaps I read the comment immediately following mine INCORRECTLY .. I know the writer feeling about LANE 1 .. I read all his comments .. however the insinuations are that my comments were RE-OPENING something that had been discussed. My point is the POSTER was asking for comments .. and I felt I was doing PROPER! How do you read the comments immediately following my note?

I don't think that the ones IMMEDIATELY following your post had anything to do with your post.  It was Jabroni stating that he was staying out of this particular debate and others joking with him about it. That's it!

The time posted 11:38/11:45 .. could be an over lay .. giving the benefit of DOUBT .. I will concede that I am in error for making a statement that may NOT be justified .. I STAND CORRECTED .. therefore I APOLOGIZE! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

Getting back on topic.....Joe, you mentioned the Apocalypse has put your GN in the bag? Are they drilled similarly? If so I'm real suprised that the GN is the weaker of the 2 balls especially on medium conditions
