What polish does Lane #1 uses?
« on: October 10, 2007, 09:16:06 AM »
I just got my supernova and I'm wondering what kind of polish i should be getting for this ball when i need to repolish it.

It says "light polish" on the box when it came.
I don't want to use a high glossy polish on it when i need it to play on wet lanes.

does anyone know what brand of polish it uses?

Now that they're made by 900 Global, I assume they use the equivalent of a Columbia-type polish.

In any case there are 2 basic types of polish: those with an abrasive in it, like Columbia Degree and Storm's Xtra Shine and those without, like Brunswick;s High Gloss, Track's Magic SHine, Legend's Factory Finish polish.

There is no high gloss and less than high gloss. It all depends on how much you apply for how long anf with what pressure.

It also depends at what grit level you sand the ball before applying the polish.

Have fun.

Yeah, probably the 2000-Degree polish from Columbia for the C300- and 9G-made balls.  For the Brunswicks they probably use the standard Brunswick finishes.
