Which Lane 1 Ball?
« on: November 14, 2006, 03:06:54 AM »

Which Lane 1 Ball falls into the same catergory as an Absolute Inferno in terms of Versatility, Length, Hook, and other similar performance characterists, and etc.?

hmm I think the dirty bomb had the same cover.. but a little higher rg core.  I am going to guess with the same surface prep, the DB is about as close as you would get to the absolute in reaction.

I would say the Uranium Pearl.  It is a little more rolly than the Dirty Bomb, and they share the same cover (Activator Pearl).

my two cents from the current lineup and based upon surface prep, the solid cobalt would be darn close  the DB pearl is a great ball but snappier, the cobalt pearl is great too, but once again snappy, the absolute is ruff buffed down, so even tho it is a pearl, it is finished to be a little more mid laned, I would for that reason go with the solid cobalt, for a solid is has a nice shine to it and is deceptively long but has that nice roll of a solid, plus it would allow you to play in some oil more so then the other pearls. The Tsunami when drilled right an with the right cover prep rolls similar to a pearl as well, just not a big snapper on the back

Thanks for your response guys. Since there was more than one different suggestion (of which I expected with a question like this in any ball forum) I Emailed Anthony a @ Lane 1 per Hunkster's suggestion to see what Lane 1 recommended and they recommended the same as Trigger.....the solid Cobalt Bomb. Looks like Trigger knows his stuff, huh? This is not to say the Dirty Bomb that Strapper & Sawfreak recommended wouldn't work also, but of coarse it is discontinued. Again, thanks.

I forgot to mention that I throw 14# balls, so I don't know if that matters or not.
