315 drilling on a super carbide?

I've been wanting to try this layout for awhile and the only short pin ball I have is a super carbide.I rarely use it due to it burning up in the heads shortly after warm up.I intend to use it on a flat medium/heavy pattern on synthetics.good idea or bad?

Bradley, I'm not sure I agree with you.  I did a 315 on a Global Assault, another very aggressive ball.  Polished it a lot.  It floats thru the heads and really doesn't react much in the mids, with a controlled back end.  Actually it's one of my least hooking balls these days.  (Much less than my Super Carbide [not bomb], or even my Silver Streak).  Granted, I don't have overwhelming hand, but I'd expect this ball to cover more boards than it does given its nature.  I think I may scuff it up some and see what happens, though I'll take it back up to where it is now (about 2000) for normal use.

I"ve tried polihing it,sanding it finer,limp wristing it but not much luck with this ball with a 105 drill on it.

First, why would you want to put a drilling like that on a ball of that caliber. Second, try to match up the balls core and cover to the conditions that you are afforded. If you are going to bowl of a flat pattern reactive balls tend to work better. Because of the volumnes of oil on flat patterns you want the ball to react quickly coming onto the dry. Also, get yourself a new driller as from your profile almost all of your balls are label drilled.

just to play around,thats all.the ball basically sits and collects dust.I'll leave it as it is and use it once in awhile when conditions call for it.I have a hot wire drilled 4 1/2 by 4 with a wt.hole below pap thats actually been good on this pattern.I've read that the 315 drill likes less hand and arcs hard on the back end.thought it sounded good and wanted to try it.I also need to update my profile.

Hey Rags the ball i sold you was a major assault if thats the same one your talking about. Its a high load particle.
