XP layout
« on: December 02, 2007, 04:21:00 AM »
What will I get in terms of reaction from these two layouts?

Stats:
Speed 17-18mph
Revs aprox: 500-600
Feet 20-25 throwing 13-7 or so

Layouts
Label 1:30 VS. Cg out, pin under and slightly out, mb+ side of thumb

I've got a Supernova drilled with the CG out layout above, works good for me in Med. Heavy to Medium, Looking for something Med. Light to light. Which layout would be more beneficial

in general terms... not relating to your stats:
1:30 will give a longer skid with a more angular movement is better when lanes break down

g out will provide a smoother movement with a more early reaction but without freaking out when transitioning from oil to drier parts of the lane (watch the Vid on the lane#1 page)

you seem to have good revs so both layouts will work. It now depend how you want the ball to react.
Snappy? go with the label or even a stacked layout ( or something between)

Smooth?.... cg out.

Keep in mind it is a asym core so layout the core corresponding to the MB and not the CG

I read the pages about the "dual angle layout" and it is a great system.

Wish you the best and give us a review then when you have a clue how this ball works! Thanks!

Mine is label 1:30 and I love it...it is a very strong, yet smooth reaction.

with your speed and revs .. I would consider 4" pin and drill it 5-5 1/2 from pap and kick the cg/MB slightly to the right

I'll still probably go with the CG I think. I'm looking for a smooth arch on med. to light conditons. Think this will give me the most out of a Supernova, Supernova XP, combo with minimal overlapping.
